Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to be the face-to-face contact with customers, selling merchandise and handling will-call orders. You will learn a wide range of products and gain expertise to assist customer needs.

The role emphasizes exceptional service, product knowledge, and active involvement in the warehouse, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Compensation starts at $21.50 per hour, with experience-based variation.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for customer service.
• Ability to communicate well with customers to understand their needs.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and PPE.
• 4+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn Graybar’s products through self-study, training classes, and on-the-job learning.
• Place, arrange and maintain merchandise in counter area.
• Sell merchandise to walk-in customers and manage will-call (pickup) orders.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Be active in the warehouse.
