Airgas, Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Counter Sales Associate/Backup CDL Driver. This full-time role focuses on selling gases and welding supplies, supporting customers in person and remotely, and backing up the CDL driver to ensure safe, reliable delivery operations.

You will load/unload cylinders, assist customers, manage inventory, and handle invoicing and payments with attention to safety and regulatory standards. The position offers comprehensive benefits and daily home time.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Driver's License.
• Hazmat Endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 1 year of Class A driving experience in last 5 years.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification required.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly, occasional 76+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies and related equipment.
• Assist customers via email, phone, and in person walk-ins.
• Load/unload cylinders, operate forklift, and back-up delivery driver as needed.
• Monitor inventory and maintain cylinder levels to prevent shortages.
• Handle accounts receivable and ensure accurate paperwork (coding, costing, pricing).
