Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a customer-focused store associate to greet customers, answer questions, and guide them to the right products. You will develop product knowledge, assist with orders and payments, and help maintain a welcoming showroom.

This full-time role emphasizes teamwork, friendly service, accurate POS transactions, and attention to detail in display and stock. Experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of High School or equivalent.
• 1-2 years sales experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Good understanding of contractor sales process.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and Point of Sale Programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to provide an exceptional experience.
• Answer customers’ questions and assist with product selections and upsell where appropriate.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and address their needs promptly.
• Process orders and payments; assist with returns and larger quotes as directed.
• Keep showroom, samples, and literature clean and current; stock shelves.
• Assist with store cycle counts and inventory; ensure system information is accurate.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
