Job summary

Gemaire Distributors in Valdosta, GA is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Associate to join our fast-paced wholesale HVAC team. You will engage customers at the counter, help select products, and process sales while prioritizing service and accuracy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams, outside sales representatives, vendors, and contractors.
• Enter customer orders and assist customers in selecting products by asking targeted questions and listening to understand their needs.
• Recommend alternative or substitute products based on availability and customer requirements.
• Research and source products using multiple tools to meet customer specifications.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding product information, pricing, quotes, and pickup or delivery timelines.
• Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or potential issues.
• Assist in resolving customer service and relationship concerns with dealers and end users.
• Complete the full sales order process while identifying opportunities to upsell related or complementary items.
• Manage showroom merchandising, including product organization and restocking to ensure an appealing sales floor.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures related to job duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
• Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
