Position SummaryThe Counter Sales position is responsible for delivering seamless customer experience and supporting daily team operations. This role requires high-quality, reliable service, while demonstrating clear, positive communication with both customers and team members. This individual contributes to a collaborative work environment and applies strong industry knowledge to effectively meet customer needs.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist customers with past invoicesEnsure all billing is up to date from prior day's invoices and ticketsQuote prices and prepare sales ordersDetermine the make, type, quality and availability of desired merchandise and make suggestions that meet the customer’s needsEntering proper information to generate accurate invoices for pick up or deliveryAccurately locate and pick products for order fulfillmentEstimate date of deliveries based on knowledge of production and delivery schedulesAssess and determine warranty items while ensuring adherence to manufacturer policies and meeting the specific needs of each customerFile warranties for customers to ensure they receive credit for said items in a timely mannerKeep accurate notes of all interactions and organize paperwork appropriatelyStock, clean, and maintain show roomSchedule warehouse transfers as neededOther retail warehouse duties assigned as neededRequired Education:- High school diploma or equivalentRequired Experience:- Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a HVAC or distribution environment- Familiarity with inventory management and point of sale systemsRequired Skills and Abilities:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
