Job summary

Johnstone Supply | Balsan Group is seeking a high-energy Counter Sales Associate in Pennsylvania to greet customers, assist with HVAC product selections, and process transactions. You’ll lend support across sales, customer service, and basic technical questions while upholding accurate inventory records and efficient daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service or sales, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer and software proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical counter/warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in finding the right HVAC products.
• Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and application.
• Provide timely, professional support for customer inquiries and concerns.
• Recommend solutions based on customer needs.
• Provide pricing, quotes, discounts, and tax calculations.
• Upsell additional products and solutions when appropriate.
• Follow up on sales inquiries and leads to drive additional business.
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Generate new and repeat business through strong product knowledge.
• Assist customers with basic HVAC product and application questions.
• Refer more complex technical issues to TSA or appropriate team members.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining organized inventory.
• Support general administrative tasks (data entry, filing, phone/email support).
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions.

What You’ll Do

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in finding the right HVAC products
