Dakota Supply Group (DSG) is hiring an HVAC Counter Sales Associate in Aberdeen, SD. This full-time, hourly role serves customers at the City Desk, processes orders, and assists with warehouse duties as needed.

You will provide product guidance, quotes, and technical support while maintaining an organized counter and accurate inventory, enabling excellent service for residential and commercial HVAC customers.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of college or technical school in HVAC or related field.
• 3-5 years field experience in residential/commercial HVAC products.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Strong listening skills to determine customer needs.
• Problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with computers; ERP systems experience preferred (Eclipse).
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders at the City Desk.
• Assist customers with product inquiries.
• Write and fill orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team to resolve customer service issues.
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location.
• Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product.
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area.
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $18.22 To $27.93 Hourly

DSG is seeking a HVACCounter Sales Associate in ourAberdeen, SD location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm , Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment, as well as assisting in all aspects of warehouse duties as needed.

A Typical Day in the Life of a HVAC Counter Sales Associate:

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries

• Provide trouble-shooting and technical support

A Successful HVAC Counter Sales Associate Typically Has:

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of HVACproducts.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
• Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
• A knack for active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
• The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
