Responsibilities

Job Description: In this vital role, you will assist customers with purchasing decisions, advise them on selection, and process billing of materials. Your interactions will include in-person and phone communications, answering customer and vendor calls, setting up deliveries, and advising on estimated arrival times. You will interact with manufacturers regarding quotes and lead times. Use of AS400 for processing sales is required. We are willing to train exceptional candidates with transferable skills.

Qualifications

We Require:

• Well spoken with a professional appearance.
• Familiarity with building supplies.
• Experience in sales of building materials and millwork preferred.
• Experience with A+ and CRM is a plus.
• Strong mathematical, language, computer, and email skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Some weekend availability required.

Overview

We are a large industry leader in building supplies, employing over 800 friendly people across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

For compliance purposes, the expected salary range in RI is $19.00-$24.00, which does not include overtime, benefits, retirement contributions, and other factors. Compensation will be based on experience and other legal considerations.
