Responsibilities

Counter Salesperson: In this vital role, you will assist customers with purchasing decisions, advise them on selection, and process billing of materials. Your responsibilities include strong customer interaction via in-person and phone communications, answering calls from customers and vendors, setting up deliveries, and advising on estimated arrival times for materials. You will interact with manufacturers regarding quotes and lead times. Use of AS400 to process sales is required. We are willing to train exceptional candidates with transferable skills.

Qualifications

• Well spoken with a professional appearance.
• Familiarity with building supplies.
• Experience in sales of building materials and millwork preferred.
• Experience with A+ and CRM is a plus.
• Strong mathematical, language, computer, and email skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Some weekend availability required.

Counter Salesperson

We are a large industry leader in building supplies, employing over 800 friendly people across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

For RI transparency compliance, the expected salary range is $19.00-$24.00. This does not include total compensation, which comprises overtime, benefits, retirement contributions, and more. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors legally permissible.

This is a great opportunity to leverage your customer service skills and knowledge of millwork and building supplies to assist customers with material selection, delivery setup, and obtaining quotes/lead times.
