Job summary

Tague Lumber Inc. in Kennett Square is seeking a friendly Counter Sales Representative to be the welcoming first contact for customers, online and in person. You’ll help identify products and solutions and ensure every interaction is positive and service‑oriented.

You’ll build relationships, process orders, and support daily operations while learning our POS system and collaborating with teammates to deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• A customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in lumber, millwork, or building materials sales is a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a drug screening, physical, and background check.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

In this role, you’ll serve as the “face of the company,” helping ensure every customer interaction is positive, helpful, and solution oriented. You’ll play a key role in supporting both walk-in customer and customers over the phone while building strong, lasting relationships within the community.
