Heritage Landscape Supply Group, Inc. in Spring Hill, TN, is seeking a full-time Counter Sales with Backup Driver to serve as a key customer touchpoint, handling order entry and driving duties as needed.

You will provide expert product recommendations, prepare quotes, coordinate deliveries, and support inventory through cycle counts and shipping/receiving, while maintaining safety and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or sales with a focus on satisfaction.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and order entry procedures.
• Clear, courteous communication in person, by phone, and email.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with clients through phone, email, and in-person consultations.
• Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter.

• Create detailed sales orders and quotes, using measurements to estimate material needs.
• Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries with precision.
• Participate in cycle counts, order picking, staging, replenishment, and shipping/receiving.

• Covers Back-up Driver responsibilities in non-regulated truck.

Heritage Landscape Supply is seeking a full-time Counter Sales w/ Backup Driver driving duties and a key customer touchpoint, responsible for accurate order entry and smooth customer interactions. The position requires strong multitasking skills, including processing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating logistics to support delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by effectively interacting with clients through phone, email, and in-person consultations, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
• Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company’s computer system to ensure efficient and precise order fulfillment.
• Deliver expert product recommendations and pricing information, tailoring solutions to meet customer needs and maximizing sales potential.
• Create detailed sales orders and quotes, utilizing customer measurements to estimate material needs and project costs with accuracy.
• Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries with precision, ensuring optimal logistics and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to inventory management by participating in cycle counts, order picking, staging, replenishment, and shipping/receiving activities.
• Collaborate with management and team members to communicate customer needs and special order material requests, enhancing product offerings and service delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
• Covers Back-up Driver responsibilities in non-regulated truck
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred; experience in managing customer relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty, ensuring a personalized and positive purchasing experience.
• Experience or familiarity with point-of-sale systems and order entry procedures.
• Demonstrated ability for clear and courteous communication in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in responding to customer inquiries and issues.
• Capability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 75 lbs regularly, and 50 lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Covers Back-up Driver responsibilities in non-regulated truck
• Ability to work in varied conditions, including warehouses and outdoor environments.
• Honest, respectful, and courteous demeanor towards all customers and colleagues.
• Willingness/ability to work overtime as needed
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent of education & experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in driving in a non-regulated truck
• Covers Back-up Driver responsibilities in a non-regulated truck
