Job summary

Kith Treats Counter Associate is the friendly face of the Treats shop, delivering a first-class dessert experience with personable service and attention to plating. You will maintain a clean workspace and stay current with brand activations.

Open availability including evenings and weekends is required; a valid Food Handler license is needed, plus 1–2 years in food/beverage and customer-facing roles. This on-site role offers $18.00/hr+ commissions and tips where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler License or Certificate is required.
• 1–2 years in a food/beverage position or similar is preferred.
• 1+ years in a customer-facing role and cash handling is preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 30 lbs, and multi-task in a fast-paced retail kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience and deliver visually appealing desserts.
• Master plating and presentation techniques for each creation.
• Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment.
• Manage inventory during lulls to stay prepared.
• Communicate inventory needs with management.
• Adhere to all safety, policies, and scheduling needs.
• Assist with housekeeping and general store duties as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Treats Shop (Williamsburg)

Status: Part-Time

Compensation: $18.00/hr+ Commission(s)* & Tip eligibility

Position Summary

The Kith - Treats Counter Associate is the face of the Kith Treats shop. They are personable, friendly, and focused on delivering a first in class experience to all new and returning Kith-Treats customers. They are passionate about desserts and committed to delivering a best-in-class experience capped off with a beautifully assembled TREAT!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities

• Continuously providing an exceptional experience for each of our Treats customers, capped off with a visually captivating and equally delicious dessert.
• Practicing and mastering the plating & presentation techniques used on each one of our creations.
• Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment.
• Using time between customers to manage inventory levels, to ensure we are always prepared.
• Applying our iconic “Swirl” to our highly sought-after desserts.
• Proactively communicating inventory needs with management.
• Remaining updated on all company activations, as well as any brand partnerships.
• Adhere to all company processes, policies, and procedures.
• Follow all Food & Safety processes, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to availability and scheduling needs of the business.
• Assist Shops Management team with housekeeping responsibilities, which include but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collecting trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations.

Special Projects

• Participate and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business.
• Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business.

REQUIREMENTS

Availability

• Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
• Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.

License(s)/Certificate(s)

• Valid Food Handler License or Certificate or equivalent.

Experience

• 1-2 years in a food/beverage position
• 1+ years in a customer facing position is preferred
• 1+ years of cash handling is preferred

• Ability to lift and move 30lbs.
• Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
