Job summary

Kith Women's Cafe is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor to help the F&B Manager direct daily shop operations. You will lead the team, ensure quick, friendly service, and uphold store standards while driving sales.

This role requires 1–2 years of management in customer-facing roles and 1+ years in food and beverage, plus a valid food handlers license and flexible weekend availability. On-site location in New York City area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of management experience in a customer-facing role.
• 1+ years of Food & Beverage experience.
• Valid Food Handlers License or ServSafe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations by delegating tasks, managing breaks, adjusting staffing in real time, and ensuring efficient workflow and coverage.
• Guide Team Members in completing task lists, maintaining KDS/ticket-time goals, and executing operational standards.
• Support management in achieving business goals, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Complete temperature logs, spoilage tracking, EOS reporting, and other operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure deliveries are received, properly stored, and FIFO’d; communicate shortages, out-of-stock items, callouts, and outstanding orders to management team.
• Provide thorough shift transitions covering staffing, breaks, promotions, MOD notes, orders, training, and other operational priorities.
• Coach and develop Team Members, assign positions based on business needs and strengths, and coordinate training as needed.
• Run KDS as EXPO during peak periods to maintain timely production and ensure guests are not overlooked.
• Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality while maintaining company standards.
• Support daily operations before, during, and after business hours, including housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, trash removal, and general cleanliness.
• Enforce food safety protocols, company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Maintain consistent execution, cleanliness, efficiency, and quality across all assigned areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Status: Full Time

Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/hr + Tip(s)

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor assists the F&B Manager in planning and directing the day-to-day operations of the shop. They lead and supervise the team to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Supervisor is also expected to maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment. Ensuring customers’ needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Special Projects/Tasks

• Helps in auditing overall cleanliness and hygienic standards of store front, food prep, and storage areas to ensure compliance with any Food Safety Laws & Requirements.
• Assist in the execution of any in-store or off-site activations

REQUIREMENTS

Availability

• Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
• Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.

Licenses/Certificates

• Valid and current Food Handlers License from the Department of Health or ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate is required

Experience

• 1-2 years of management experience in a customer-facing role
• 1+ years of Food & Beverage experience
