Kith Treats in Williamsburg is seeking a part-time Counter Associate who will be the face of the shop, delivering a first-class customer experience and visually stunning desserts. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on quick, friendly service and accurate cash handling.

The candidate should have 1–2 years in food/beverage roles, 1+ year in customer-facing positions, and a valid food handler certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional experience for every Treats customer and deliver visually appealing desserts.
• Master plating and presentation techniques for desserts.
• Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment.
• Use downtime to manage inventory and stay prepared.
• Apply the Swirl to desserts and keep brand consistency.
• Communicate inventory needs to management proactively.
• Stay updated on brand activations and partnerships.
• Follow all food safety policies and company procedures.
• Support scheduling and availability needs of the business.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks in the shop.

About The Role

Location: Treats Shop (Williamsburg)

Status: Part-Time

Compensation: $18.00/hr+ Commission(s)* & Tip eligibility

Position Summary

The Kith - Treats Counter Associate is the face of the Kith Treats shop. They are personable, friendly, and focused on delivering a first in class experience to all new and returning Kith-Treats customers. They are passionate about desserts and committed to delivering a best-in-class experience capped off with a beautifully assembled TREAT!

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Continuously providing an exceptional experience for each of our Treats customers, capped off with a visually captivating and equally delicious dessert.
• Practicing and mastering the plating & presentation techniques used on each one of our creations.
• Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment.
• Using time between customers to manage inventory levels, to ensure we are always prepared.
• Applying our iconic “Swirl” to our highly sought-after desserts.
• Proactively communicating inventory needs with management.
• Remaining updated on all company activations, as well as any brand partnerships.
• Adhere to all company processes, policies, and procedures.
• Follow all Food & Safety processes, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to availability and scheduling needs of the business.
• Assist Shops Management team with housekeeping responsibilities, which include but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collecting trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations.

Special Projects

• Participate and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business.
• Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business.

Requirements

Availability

• Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
• Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.

License(s)/Certificate(s)

• Valid Food Handler License or Certificate or equivalent.

Experience

• 1-2 years in a food/beverage position
• 1+ years in a customer facing position is preferred
• 1+ years of cash handling is preferred

Skills/Abilities

• Ability to perform business math
• Ability to multi-task
• Efficient communication
• Ability to lift and move 30lbs.
• Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
