Job summary

DeKalb Health in Pauma is seeking a Count Team Supervisor to oversee the casino drop/count operations. This non-exempt role begins a full shift with possible overtime to ensure timely reconciliation.

Qualifications

• One year of lead or supervisory experience.

Description

SUMMARY:

Oversees the count team operation including the accountability, recording, and reconciliation of gaming drop into Konami Casino Management System. Typically, a minimum full 8-hour shift starting at 4am, including overtime as needed to minimum completed drop and count.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures proper controls and accountability of casino drop.
• Collects currency acceptors from slot machines and transports to the count room.
• Operates optical currency handling system and rapid counting of large sums of currency while ensuring the safety and protection of funds processed.
• Counts daily receipts from gaming operations.
• Assures compliance to the count team’s minimum internal controls standards and casino Policies and Procedures.
• Works with Revenue Audit on reconciliation of gaming drop
• Schedules day to day count staff work commitments, ensures rotation of team.
• Works full shift or more as needed until drop and count is reconciled.
• Ensure cleaning, maintenance, and service of all count team equipment.
• Helps with bi-weekly count team payroll processing and paperwork as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Previous casino count room and floor drop experience (preferred)- not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator accurately over long periods of time.
• Ability to perform basic math computations and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to use a computer and have Microsoft reporting skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to set and schedule count team priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to lead and maintain effective working relationships with Guests and Team Members.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED (required).

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
