Job summary

Derby City Gaming & Hotel in Louisville seeks a Count Room Manager to oversee the cash drop and count room operations in compliance with gaming regulations and accounting procedures. The role requires strong leadership, meticulous record keeping, and the ability to adapt to high-pace environments.

You will lead the Count Room Team, develop and enforce procedures, verify cash counts, collaborate with Revenue Audit, Maintenance, and Security, and ensure accurate reporting of daily cash activity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of gaming or related field experience.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efficient operation of the drop and count room and lead the Count Room Team.
• Develop and maintain procedures; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Run money from gaming machines and NRTs through currency counters; record cash activity.
• Coordinate with Revenue Audit, maintenance, and other departments as needed.
• Manage cash drop box collection and preparation for counting; maintain logs.
• Review machine reports for issues and implement repairs as required.
• Meet with directors and managers as necessary.
