ReDiscover's CoEd Department in Missouri is seeking a Counselor Technician to support adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders in outpatient or residential settings. You will perform safety checks, assist with life skills and group activities, and help clients progress toward their treatment goals.

Through medication assisted treatment, paired with individualized therapy, group education, and case management, the Coed Substance Use Disorder program offers a well rounded holistic approach to client's needs.**What You'll Do*** Monitors clients in a safe environment, performing and documenting client safety rounds. This includes ADL monitoring and coaching (i.e. life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.).* Facilitates structured activities with clients in accordance with their goals and treatment plan.* Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed.* Maintains cleanliness of the program space.* Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records.**Requirements of the Position*** Availability to work a Part Time schedule (16 hours per week) Fri-Sat 11P-7:30A; all new hires are required to attend a **one-week ReDiscover orientation** as part of the onboarding process.* High School Diploma or GED.* A valid Missouri Class E automobile operator's license (or equivalent license in another state).* Must carry all appropriate insurance on the vehicle being driven, necessary to comply with Missouri or Kansas State Law.* Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.* Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.* Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.* Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.**Grow With Us**We're committed to your professional development and will support your growth as a Counselor Technician through training, collaboration, and meaningful work.
