Job summary

ReDiscover invites applications for a Wellness & Recovery Counselor in Lee's Summit, MO. The role supports adults with mental illness or substance use disorders through outpatient programming in a CoEd setting, with options for some virtual sessions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of clients in-person and via telehealth when appropriate.
• Evaluate mental health conditions using client information, assessments, and records.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with a client-centered approach.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate services; respond to crises as needed.
• Counsel individuals and groups, maintaining confidentiality of treatment records.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans.

Through medication assisted treatment, paired with individualized therapy, group education, and case management, the Coed Substance Use Disorder program offers a well rounded holistic approach to client's needs.**What You’ll Do*** Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics either in-person and in some cases, virtually.* Evaluate client’s mental health condition based on review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation and diagnostics. Collecting information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports.* Develop and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience, knowledge, and understanding of the client’s information and history. Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.* Counsel clients, individually and in group sessions specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
