Rediscover is seeking a Counselor Technician to join the CoEd program in Missouri. The role supports adults with substance use or co-occurring disorders in outpatient or residential settings, focusing on safety, life skills coaching, and treatment plan adherence.

Responsibilities include monitoring clients, facilitating activities, maintaining a clean space, protecting PHI, and assisting with EMR records. A positive, recovery-focused attitude and strong communication are essential.

Through medication assisted treatment, paired with individualized therapy, group education, and case management, the Coed Substance Use Disorder program offers a well rounded holistic approach to client's needs.What You'll DoMonitors clients in a safe environment, performing and documenting client safety rounds. This includes ADL monitoring and coaching (i.e. life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.).Facilitates structured activities with clients in accordance with their goals and treatment plan.Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed.Maintains cleanliness of the program space.Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records.Requirements of the PositionAvailability to work a Part Time schedule (16 hours per week) Sat-Sun 7A-3:30P; all new hires are required to attend a one-week ReDiscover orientation as part of the onboarding process.High School Diploma or GED.A valid Missouri Class E automobile operator’s license (or equivalent license in another state).Must carry all appropriate insurance on the vehicle being driven, necessary to comply with Missouri or Kansas State Law.Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.Grow With UsWe’re committed to your professional development and will support your growth as a Counselor Technician through training, collaboration, and meaningful work.Ready to join a team that’s passionate about people?
