Job summary

Spero Health, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to join our team in a role that supports patients through counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment.

This position emphasizes treating the whole person through integrated care, with a focus on saving lives and restoring relationships. The Counselor will perform initial assessments, provide evidence-based counseling, educate patients, and collaborate to ensure treatment adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health field
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year full-time employment/internship in human-services setting or Master’s in behavioral science
• Licenses: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAPC, LSW, CAADC
• CPR Certification, Basic First Aid, Narcan Administration and De-Escalation Training

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.
• Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPAA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health field. Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• License: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAPC, LSW, CAADC

CPR Certification, Basic First Aid, Narcan Administration and De-Escalation Training
