Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to join its Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) / Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) team in Massachusetts. You will conduct initial assessments, develop treatment plans, involve families when possible, and help with discharge planning and safety evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, human services, etc.).
  • Two years of related experience in mental health/substance abuse settings, including at least one year of substance use experience.
  • LADC, CADAC, or CAS credential preferred.
  • Strong understanding of substance use disorders, treatment techniques, and community resources.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and bio-psychosocial evaluations to determine service eligibility.
  • Facilitate, establish, and review individualized treatment plans with each person served.
  • Involve families and residential providers in the recovery process when possible.
  • Respond to grievances and complaints, and develop aftercare and discharge plans.
  • Provide comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations and ensure safety.

  • Pay or shift range: $21 USD to $24 USD

What You Will Do:

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, human services, etc.).
