Job summary

BAARTPrograms is seeking a Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisor to oversee counselors and interns, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to plans of care in compliance with laws and BayMark policies. The role emphasizes leadership, QA, and program development.

You will supervise staff, assist with interviews and training, monitor attendance and incident reports, and support licensure guidance.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Arizona (LCSW, LMSW, LISAC, LPC, or LMFT)
• Master's degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work or counseling
• Minimum of two years counseling experience; knowledge of charting and compliance procedures for methadone treatment; ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans; excellent oral and written communication

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Monitor treatment and counseling of all patients.
• Provide clinical supervision
• Assign counselors' caseloads and adjust as needed
• Screen potential patients and determine eligibility
• Facilitate intakes or assist with intake process
• Conduct quality assurance file reviews
• Complete and submit patient death reports as needed
• Review and countersign assessments and treatment plans for counselor interns
• Manage counseling staff and lead performance improvement discussions and follow-up
• Assist in new hire training and interviews
• Participate in staff meetings
• Counsel a caseload of patients as needed
• Monitor employee attendance
• Complete incident reports
• Guide counselors in licensure/certification
• Oversee counselor trainings and ensure completion
• Facilitate performance discussions and evaluations
• Communicate concerns to staff and leadership
• Attend staff meetings
• Assist in program development activities
• Adhere to BayMark policies and company service standards
• Travel as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
