LSU New Orleans seeks a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Professional Practice to lead the Clinical Practicum & Internship Coordinator duties for CACREP‑accredited graduate programs. In person, 12 academic units/semester with release for admin duties.

Requires doctorate in counseling or counselor education and eligibility for LPC or School Counselor certification; strong teaching, supervision, and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate in counseling or counselor education from a CACREP accredited institution (ABD considered).
• Eligibility for Louisiana LPC licensure and/or School Counselor certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate practicum and internship experiences for CMHC, School Counseling and PhD programs.
• Respond to inquiries regarding practicum and internship.
• Supervise doctoral supervisors overseeing master's students.
• Monitor field sites and onboarding of sites, liaisons and university supervisors.
• Develop and foster new practicum/internship sites.
• Teach graduate courses within the Counselor Education Program and provide student advising.
