Texas A&M University invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice (Professional Track Faculty) starting Fall 2027. The successful candidate will serve as the Practicum & Internship Coordinator for the CACREP-accredited programs, with a commensurate instructional workload.

Qualifications

Earned doctoral degree in counseling/counselor education.
Experience as full-time faculty in counselor education.
Evidence of scholarly productivity or potential.
Teaching effectiveness in online and in-person formats.
Active memberships in professional counseling organizations.
Willingness to travel to Commerce, Dallas, Plano campuses.

Responsibilities

Teach up to three courses each fall and spring semester.
Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
Contribute to department, college, and university service.
Participate in committees, accreditation activities, and institutional planning.
Engage in outreach and professional development activities.
