Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counselor Education by start of employment.
• Demonstrate a record of effective teaching, supervision, and professional activity.
• Must demonstrate strength and flexibility to teach across the CACREP core, including clinical and didactic courses.
• Designation as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor‑Supervisor, and Registered Play Therapist‑Supervisor preferred.
• Hold a current Certified School Counselor credential in the state of Texas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral students.
• Advise/mentor students.
• Serve on dissertation committees.
• Collaborate with Counseling Program faculty and affiliated centers, institutes, and clinics to maintain national stature.
• Participate on university committees and professional counseling organizations.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.
