Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled Counsel (P3) to join our legal team in Dallas, focusing on real estate, permitting, and project development for wind, solar, and storage projects. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel and requires strong contract negotiation and risk mitigation skills.

This in-office position is on-site a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility for two remote days, subject to policy.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–6 years of legal experience in construction, real estate, or renewable energy transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on real estate and permitting matters across the development timeline.
• Draft, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, supply agreements, and other documents.
• Provide legal support for procurement processes, vendor agreements, and supply chain.
• Identify legal risks, propose solutions, and manage disputes related to construction, contract performance, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with project development, finance, and operations teams to support project delivery.
• Support senior members of the legal team on additional initiatives.
