This role will be based in your home office in the United States, specifically in the EST time zone.

This role requires you to have or be eligible for a security clearance, including U.S. citizenship, and may involve a government security clearance investigation.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Public Sector/Government Contracts and Compliance Professional to join our legal team supporting Progress Federal Solutions, Inc. (“PFS”). You will:

1. Negotiate, manage, and administer government contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and procurement laws.
2. Support sales and capture teams with legal guidance on government procurement.
3. Maintain records and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align legal and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate federal and state/local contracts, including subcontractor agreements.
• Support bid proposals, certifications, and new business activities.
• Ensure compliance with government procurement laws and regulations.
• Manage government-related documentation, including SAM data and classified contracts.
• Support corporate governance, ethics, and compliance efforts.
• Provide legal advice on government contracts, cybersecurity provisions, and regulatory issues.

Candidate Profile

• Experience with federal government contracting laws, FAR, DFARS, and GSA/Wide Area Workflow.
• Legal degree (J.D.) preferred, with bar membership in good standing.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with government security and compliance standards is a plus.
