Senior ABM Specialist - Public Sector

Overview:

The Senior ABM Specialist plays a crucial role in executing our Account-Based Marketing strategy for the Public Sector. This role involves planning, executing, and refining targeted marketing programs aimed at high-value strategic accounts. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer with a strong grasp of ABM principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales and marketing teams. Prior experience in public sector marketing is essential, as understanding its unique challenges and opportunities will be key to success.

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
  • Support the development and execution of the 1:1 & 1:Few ABM strategies aligned with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Identify and segment high-value accounts based on criteria like industry, revenue, and potential.
  • Develop detailed ABM plans for target accounts, including goals, strategies, tactics, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with sales to define engagement strategies and ensure alignment throughout the customer journey.
Campaign Execution:
  • Implement comprehensive ABM strategies aligned with business objectives and account-specific goals within the public sector.
  • Create personalized, compelling account-based content tailored to specific accounts and personas.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely campaign delivery.
  • Utilize marketing automation and ABM tools to execute and monitor campaigns.
Measurement & Optimization:
  • Define and monitor key ABM metrics such as engagement, pipeline, and deal velocity.
  • Analyze data to identify improvements and optimize campaigns.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on ABM performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing to refine messaging and tactics.
Sales Enablement & Collaboration:
  • Work with sales to ensure they have resources and information to engage target accounts.
  • Facilitate communication between sales and marketing for ongoing improvement.
  • Train sales teams on ABM best practices and marketing tools.
Technology & Tools:
  • Become proficient with ABM platforms and marketing automation tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve ABM effectiveness.
  • Maintain data integrity within ABM systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years in B2B marketing, with ABM experience.
  • 3-5 years specifically in public sector marketing.
  • Proven success in executing ABM campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of ABM strategies and tactics.
  • Experience with marketing automation (e.g., Marketo) and ABM tools (e.g., 6sense).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong writing and content creation skills.
  • Experience in cybersecurity is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • ABM certification.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of account-based sales development.

Additional Information:

The annual On Target Earnings (OTE) for California, Colorado, New York, and Washington ranges from $107,000 to $161,000 USD, inclusive of base salary and incentives. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location. Okta also offers equity and benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending, and paid leave.
