Job summary

Copia Power is seeking a Counsel to support the development, construction, and operation of gigawatt-scale campuses that blend power and digital assets. You will advise on complex commercial agreements for solar, storage, EPC contracts, and project financings, partnering with cross-functional teams to manage risk and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 5+ years in the energy sector, and a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school with current license to practice law in a U.S. state.
5+ years of professional experience in the energy industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication with succinctness and clarity.

Responsibilities

Partner with construction and procurement teams and oversee outside counsel in drafting, reviewing and negotiating equipment supply, EPC contracts, and logistics agreements.
Provide legal advice to construction and procurement teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
Support Deputy General Counsel in negotiating, drafting and closing Power Purchase Agreements, Load Service Agreements, and project financings.
Manage post-execution compliance, including milestones, change orders, disputes, and related project documents.
Review due diligence requests, vendor qualifications, responses to RFPs, and other matters for the legal team.
