Job summary

The University of Georgia’s Tifton Campus is seeking a Cotton Research Technician II to support cotton breeding, germplasm development, cultivar evaluation, and agronomic programs. The role involves field, greenhouse, and laboratory activities under supervision of the Assistant Dean’s Office.

You will coordinate crop production activities, collect data, maintain equipment, and collaborate with researchers and student workers to advance cotton research objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Strong communication and data recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain research plots.
• Support crop management activities (irrigation, fertilization, weed control).
• Collect, record, and manage data from field and greenhouse trials.
• Travel to off-site locations for planting, maintenance, and harvesting as needed.
• Operate and maintain research equipment and vehicles.
