Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Field Research Assistant to support the Small Grains Breeding and Genetics program. This part-time (0.49 FTE) position involves nursery preparation, planting, data recording, and greenhouse maintenance in our Griffin area facilities.

You will assist in laboratory activities as needed, travel to UGA research centers, and work Monday–Friday with up to 19.6 hours per week. Minimum requirement is a high school diploma; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experienced in recording data, seed processing, greenhouse maintenance, and nursery preparation.
• Team Player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursery preparation and planting.
• Maintain greenhouses and record data accurately.
• Support field work and harvesting activities during planting season.
• Assist laboratory activities related to wheat breeding and plant breeding research.
