Job summary

RTX in Richardson, TX, seeks a Senior Platform Engineering COTS Manager to lead COTS coordination, architecture development, and documentation for a fast-paced program. The role requires close collaboration with hardware, software, and CM teams to ensure proper configuration control and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of MS Office, Windows/Linux environments, and relevant COTS/FOSS know-how, with explicit security clearance requirements and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in STEM fields.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience interfacing with systems, software, or hardware engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical coordination of COTS for the program.
• Develop the Program COTS architecture and related documentation.
• Develop an engineering repository in Windows and Linux.
• Coordinate with Configuration Management to identify, version control and record COTS baselines.
• Manage evaluation of COTS updates and vendor issues.
• Coordinate with SCM and Material Program Manager on vendor issues.
• Maintain support for each COTS product.
• Collect infrastructure status needs for COTS tracking and data rights.
• Present metrics and track the program’s process against plan.
• Conduct periodic COTS audits and close audit findings.
