Job summary

Salgado-LLC in Stockton, California is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support seniors under the supervision of an Licensed Occupational Therapist. You will implement personalized treatment plans to enhance safety, mobility, and performance of daily living activities in a collaborative clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License or immediate eligibility.
• Geriatric Experience: Minimum 2 years in a clinical setting with frail seniors.
• Clinical Knowledge: Broad therapeutic knowledge for frail older adults with medical needs.
• Mobility: Reliable transportation for facility-based care and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Administer tailored occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist with vital signs, ROM testing, and manual muscle strength evaluations.
• Deliver interventions to improve muscle re-education, balance, endurance, cognition.
• Train patients in ADLs and use adaptive devices for safe daily independence.
• Coordinate with rehab team and manage scheduling, visits, and billing docs.
• Maintain and calibrate therapy equipment; update care plans as progress occurs.
