Job summary

Independence Rehab seeks a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at a skilled nursing facility. You will collaborate with the therapy team to support residents in rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care, helping them regain function and independence.

The role offers a chance to work with geriatric populations, with ongoing competency training and opportunities to grow in several areas of therapy.

Qualifications

• Current OTA license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Support residents through rehabilitation, recovery and long-term care.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and interdisciplinary care team.

About the Role

As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll work collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

SNF Practice Highlights

• Treat a diverse caseload, including occasional clinically complex patients
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team
• Competency training is available-we're happy to support your growth in any of these areas

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in good standing
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program

• One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply
