Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Merritt Island, FL, is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on helping residents regain independence through personalized rehab and collaborative care.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Florida COTA license and bring strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida COTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy services to improve mobility, coordination, and daily functional abilities.
• Assist residents in developing skills to maximize independence and quality of life.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates with the therapy and care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation while following regulatory and compliance standards.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality per healthcare regulations.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes.
