Job summary

Bayside Post-Acute in Florida is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing facility. You will work closely with Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team to help residents regain independence and improve daily living skills.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with ADLs and mobility, documenting progress, and educating residents and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving ADLs and mobility.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to promote independence and safety.
• Monitor and document resident progress toward established goals.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
