Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. This full-time position focuses on helping residents regain independence through personalized rehabilitation and support.

Work with licensed therapists to implement treatment plans, monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate with nursing and care staff.

Qualifications

• Florida COTA license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate approach with a focus on resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy to improve mobility, coordination, and daily activities.
• Assist residents in developing skills to maximize independence and quality of life.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates with the therapy and care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation following regulatory standards.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality per healthcare regulations.
• Work with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.
