Job summary

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support rehabilitation services. The role works under the supervision of an OTR to implement patient treatment plans and ensure documentation aligns with professional standards.

Applicants should have an ACOTE-accredited OT program degree, NB-COT certification or eligibility, and BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program is required.
• NB-COT certification or eligibility is required.
• BLS certification preferred at hire (AHA/ARC).
• Experience with industrial rehab and ergonomics is preferred.
• Familiarity with upper-extremity hand dysfunction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment programs for patients under supervision of the OTR.
• Interact with patients of all ages and cultures and adhere to Beaumont customer service standards.
• Document patient treatment according to laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards.
• Submit charges for services provided.
• Maintain communication with the treatment team and supervising OTR for goal setting and discharge planning.
• Communicate observations of patients' condition and response to treatment.
