Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT, in accordance with state/federal regulations and facility guidelines.

You will assist patients in developing and restoring functional independence, implement therapy interventions per OT plan of care, document progress, educate patients and families, and communicate status to supervising OT while following safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions per OT plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely.
• Assist with patient and family education.
• Communicate patient status to supervising OT.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.
