Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient assessments and individualized treatment plans across all ages. You will help document progress, apply treatment modalities, and maintain accurate records under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Ideal candidates have OTA credentials, a current or eligible license, and BLS. Experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply as part of a collaborative, patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification required and current.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment on each patient under OT supervision and departmental policies.
• Document course of patient care including progress notes and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and department records on each patient.
• Participate in department education and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrates knowledge of needs across neonatal to geriatric age groups.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.
