Job summary

Autumn Lake at Ballenger Creek in Frederick, MD is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time role provides hands-on therapy to residents under supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on building strength and independence.

You will ADL support, implement treatment plans, document progress, collaborate with nurses and rehab staff, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• New graduate COTAs welcome to apply.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, balance, and functional tasks.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising OT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, equipment use, and safety strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing and other rehabilitation professionals.
