Job summary

Autumn Lake at Ballenger Creek in Frederick, MD is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team. This full-time role involves working under a licensed OT to help residents build strength, improve daily function, and gain greater independence.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with ADLs, documenting progress, and collaborating with nursing and other therapists.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland OTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist residents with ADLs, strength, coordination, balance, and functional tasks.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising OT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, equipment use, and safety strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing and other rehabilitation professionals.
