Job summary

Avir at Hearne in Hearne, TX is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. You will work under an occupational therapist to develop individualized treatment plans and help patients regain independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, guiding therapeutic exercises, providing adaptive equipment, monitoring progress, and maintaining patient records. Licensure in Texas and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• COTA certification required.
• Texas OTA license in good standing required.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Support exercises and activities to improve coordination, balance, and strength.
• Provide adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report to the occupational therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment.
