Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Texas is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement the plan of care with professionalism and high quality of care. You will screen residents quarterly, develop treatment plans, re-assess caseload, educate staff and families, supervise therapy assistants, and ensure thorough documentation and discharge planning in line with company policies.

Qualifications

• Active Texas state licensure as a Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required.
• Ability to assess and develop treatment plans and goals.
• Capability to educate staff and families on care plans.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents quarterly to identify declines in function and indicate interventions.
• Evaluate residents per MD order and establish treatment plans and goals.
• Re-assess caseload to determine continued services or discontinuation.
• Carry out treatment program as indicated and document thoroughly.
• Provide discharge planning to maximize independence in the least restrictive environment.
• Educate staff, families and caregivers as needed.
• Identify equipment needs and order per policy.
• Complete required documentation per guidelines.
• Coordinate in-services for facility staff to ensure safe carryover of programs.
• Attend required meetings; supervise therapy assistants/techs per state regulations.
