Job summary

River Falls Post Acute in Marietta, South Carolina, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of an OT, you will provide skilled therapy to help residents improve function and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans.
• Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timely.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activities.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendations.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Report equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environment.
• Participate in staff education and in-service training programs.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirements.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
• Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
