Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy services designed to help residents improve function, increase independence, and enhance their quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational TherapistFollow physician orders and individualized treatment plansDocument daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timelyMonitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational TherapistAssist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programsParticipate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activitiesEducate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendationsAssist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areasReport equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environmentParticipate in staff education and in-service training programsEnsure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirementsMaintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providersQualificationsEducation & ExperienceGraduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programExperience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferredExperience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferredStrong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsLicenses & CertificationsCurrent South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standingMust maintain all required continuing education requirementsMust remain in good standing with the applicable State BoardWhat Makes You a Great FitPassion for helping residents maximize independence and quality of lifeStrong clinical and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetDependable, flexible, and self-motivatedCommitment to delivering exceptional resident-centered careApply TodayJoin River Falls Post Acute and become part of a dedicated rehabilitation team that values your expertise and supports your professional growth.
