Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants at The Elms Center in Milford, NH seeks a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support skilled nursing residents in daily living activities.

You will work under the supervising OT, delivering targeted interventions and documenting progress within an interdisciplinary team. New graduates are welcome; CNAs and nursing staff collaboration is encouraged.

Qualifications

• NH Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
• COTA certification required
• Clear communication and accurate documentation necessary
• New graduates welcome; skilled nursing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervising OT's plan of care
• Guide residents through self-care tasks (dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting)
• Use prescribed activities to address coordination, upper-extremity function and endurance
• Help residents apply adaptive equipment techniques and safety strategies recommended by the OT
• Communicate observations about progress, assistance needs and treatment tolerance to the supervising therapist
• Complete treatment documentation and collaborate with nursing and rehab colleagues to reinforce care plans

Everyday tasks can become important milestones during recovery. Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at The Elms Center in Milford, NH to help skilled nursing residents practice the skills they need for greater participation in daily life.

What You'll Do

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervising OT's established plan of care.
• Guide residents through self-care practice, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Use prescribed activities to address coordination, upper-extremity function, and endurance during functional tasks.
• Help residents apply adaptive equipment techniques and safety strategies recommended by the OT.
• Communicate observations about progress, assistance needs, and treatment tolerance to the supervising therapist.
• Complete treatment documentation and collaborate with nursing and rehab colleagues to reinforce residents' care plans.
