Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve function and independence.

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independence.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist.
• Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate.
• Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards.

Position Summary

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South Carolina
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
• Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
