Job summary

WeCare Centers in Montoursville, PA, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will collaborate with the OT to establish rehabilitation plans and coordinate therapy activities for residents, while documenting progress and outcomes in rehab software.

You will also educate residents on home exercise programs and using adaptive equipment. The role requires eligibility as a PA-certified OTA and commitment to high-quality care for our community.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• PA OTA certification.
• Knowledge of OT principles, methods, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.
• Coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Teach Residents how to use equipment to assist daily function.
• Report Residents' progress to the OTR/L.
• Document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and use of equipment.
