Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of PA.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.
• Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Teach Residents how to use special equipment for daily function.
• Report the Resident’s progress to the OTR/L.
• Document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.
• Assist in educating patients with home exercise programs.

WeCare Centers at Heritage Care Center is actively seeking a motivated, part-time, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for our community in Squirrel Hill, PA!

Key Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.
• Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
